Breaking News on Many Levels

Here's a great reseource for ESL teachers or for students who are learning English on their own: breakingnewsenglish.com.

Breaking News English offers two lessons every week on news stories from across the world. One contains a story and related exercies at Levels 0, 2, 3 and 4.  The other covers Levels 4, 5 and 6.  Each level has an audio file of the story which you can play slower or faster.  Stories are available as a podcast, also!

As the site has been active since November 2004, there is  now a repository of over 3,000 lessons!

Great Pronunciation Site -- Add Your Own Recording

 Thanks to Skip Gole in the "My Color Vowel Community" on Facebook for giving us the link to Forvo.com.

I did not (yet) get the browser app to add my own recordings to the collection because to do that I was prompted to make Yahoo my default search engine.  One of thse days I may do that and later change the default back to Chrome.
